- We continue our GCSE journey in Year 8- as English teachers and GCSE examiners, we truly believe preparation for GCSE English starts from now and not in KS4 (Year 10/11).
- We build upon GCSE style skills taught in Year 7, but with an added academic rigour and challenge.
- We introduce the GCSE English skills of essay writing for literature.
- Students are also taught the GCSE skills of literary comparisons and how to synthesise writers’ ideas (comparative literature).
